I patterned my P-47D after one flown during WWII by Lt. Duane E Buholz from the 509th Squadron of the 405th Fighter Group, Ninth Air Force, European Theater of Operations (1944).

The aircraft was trimmed in Bright Red FS 33136 & Olive Drab Shade 41. Automotive paint was mixed using these specifications. A thin coat of clear was added.

Cindy Slachta of Aeroloft Designs, Mesa, Arizona supplied the dry transfers for the Chief & paint spray masks for the star & bars.
